Baghdad Tower

  • Baghdad Tower is one of the city's most recognizable modern landmarks. Standing 205 meters tall, it offers a panoramic view of the entire city and is a testament to Iraq's ambition for architectural development. Originally known as the Saddam Tower, it was built in the 1990s and later renamed after the fall of Saddam Hussein’s regime.
  • The tower houses an observation deck that provides visitors with breathtaking views of Baghdad’s skyline, the Tigris River, and historic districts. On clear days, visitors can see iconic sites like the Al-Shaheed Monument, Al-Mutanabbi Street, and the Grand Mosque.
  • A highlight of the tower is its revolving restaurant, where guests can enjoy traditional Iraqi dishes while taking in a 360-degree view of the city. The tower also includes a café, making it a great place to relax and soak in the city's atmosphere.
  • Since the early 2000s, the tower has undergone renovations to restore its original glory. Today, it stands as a symbol of Baghdad’s resilience and modernization, attracting both tourists and locals looking for a unique perspective of the capital.
